We had another successful Academic Games National Tournament!

Middle Division:
The V is Ours! – 4th in the nation overall earning Thinker trophies

-7th in the NATION in Presidents earning a medal
-5th in the NATION in Propaganda earning Blue Thinker trophies
-2nd in the NATION in Equations earning SILVER Thinker trophies- they were 2 points away from the championship!!!
-4th place tie in the NATION in On Sets earning Blue Thinker trophies
Individually:
-Lucy won a 7th place medal in Presidents and an 8th place Current Events with SPX Middle players
-James won an 8th place Current Events with SPX Middle players
Thinkin’ Lincolns – 18th in the nation overall

OUTSTANDING EDUCATOR AWARD
Coach Summer was honored with the Outstanding Educator award earning a large gold thinker trophy! Coach says, “If you ask me what my favorite hobby is, the answer has always been games and trivia. Nothing brings me more pleasure than working with these enthusiastic minds. Their passion for learning fuels my heart and keeps me on my toes! I plan to continue to create excellent competitors while having fun learning the games. Thank you SPX for giving me the honor of coaching these incredible students! Thank you to Coach Ellie, my mentor, for assisting me this year and opening my eyes to so much more in the world of gaming. A special shout out to my daughter Isabelle who just completed her Academic Games journey from 4th-12th grade. She is the one that roped me in to coaching and I am grateful that I get to do something so fulfilling and exciting.”
